When you place your pixel on Moshtix, it will be placed across not only the ticket selection page (Event page), but the confirmation page as well. We've put together the below guide to setting up a custom conversion, so that you can report on specific outcomes for your ads.
To see all options you can use to create custom conversions, check your event page using the Facebook Pixel Helper. Some of your options include but are not limited to;
- content_category (ie genre)
- content_name (event ID - event name)
- content_ids (event ID)
- moshtix_venue (name of the venue the event is at)
- moshtix_client (client ID - name of client account the event is built in)
You can download the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome Extension here.

To set up a custom conversion:
1. Head to Events Manager, within your Facebook Business Manager.
2. In your menu options on the left-hand side, choose Custom Conversions
3. Click 'Create Custom Conversion'
4. Give your custom conversion a name
5. Select the data source you are using (ie the pixel you have placed on your Moshtix event page)
6. Choose the conversion event you want to report on - View Content, Add To Cart, Purchase, etc.
7. Under 'Rules', click on URL and select Event Parameters from the dropdown.
8. Where it says value, click on the dropdown and select what you'd like to use to create your conversion (an event ID, a client account name, etc). In our example below, we'll be using content_ids to create a purchase conversion for a specific event page.
9. In the parameter values box, enter what you are creating the conversion for (the event ID, the client name, etc). In our example, since we have selected content_ids, we will be entering the ID of the event.
10. If you are creating a custom conversion using the Purchase event, Check the box for 'Enter a Conversion Value'
11. If you ticked the box for conversion value, enter any value (1.0 will suffice - we will dynamically send the value of the purchase to that conversion)
12. Click Create!
Your conversion set up should look like this (if you are setting up for a purchase to a specific event);
To report on custom conversions;
In Ads Reporting, you can choose custom conversions through the 'Customize' button.
If your custom conversion was set up for Purchase events, you can also select cost per conversion and conversion value fields as well.
