Introducing Self-Service Profile Deactivation
We’ve made it easier to manage your Moshtix account with a new self‑service option in the Control Room. You can now deactivate your Moshtix User Profile directly, no need to contact Support. A simple, guided process walks you through the steps, and once completed, your profile and all associated personal information (PII) will be permanently removed from the Moshtix system, while all client, event, and business data remain intact.
How to Deactivate your Profile:
- Log in to the Moshtix Client Control Room using your username and password.
- Click your Username in the side menu and select "Manage Profile"
- Open the Settings tab to view your user management options.
Select Deactivate profile to begin the removal process.
Review the information displayed on screen, then select Continue.
a. By selecting Continue, you confirm that your profile will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.To complete the deactivation, select DEACTIVATE.
a. Select CANCEL if you no longer wish to remove your profile.
Once your profile has been deactivated, you will be returned to the login screen. Your user profile has now been permanently removed.
Q: If I deactivate my Moshtix profile, is my whole Account deleted?
No. Deactivating your profile only removes your personal login and information (name, email, and password). Your client account, events, and organizational data remain intact.
Q: What if I accidentally deactivated my Moshtix Profile?
Once a profile is deactivated, it cannot be recovered. If this happens by mistake, you’ll need to create a new user login and reconnect it to your client account. Your Client Manager can assist with this process.
Q: Can I deactivate someone else's profile on their behalf?
No. You can only deactivate your own profile. If someone else needs their profile removed, they should contact their Client Manager for assistance.
Q: Will deactivating my profile affect any events I’ve created or managed?
No. Deactivating your profile only removes your personal login. All events, client-level data, and organizational information remain unchanged. If your profile was the last login on an account, your Client Manager can help set up a new user so the account remains accessible.
Q: Will my tickets or purchases be affected?
No. Purchases and tickets are linked to your fan account, not your Control Room user profile. Deleting your user profile will not affect your tickets or purchase history. Fan accounts cannot be deleted at this stage — this feature only removes your login for the Control Room.
Q: How long does it take for my profile to be fully removed?
Profile deactivation is immediate. Your personal information is removed as soon as the process is completed.
Q: Can I cancel the deactivation once I’ve started the process?
Yes — you can select CANCEL at any point before confirming the final DEACTIVATE action. Once confirmed, it cannot be undone.
Q: Is this process compliant with privacy regulations?
Yes. Deleting your profile removes your personal information (PII) in line with Moshtix privacy practices, without affecting organisational or client-level data.
Q: What happens if I am the only user on a client account?
The account will remain, but there will be no active login. Your Client Manager can help create a new user so the account remains accessible.
