We’ve introduced self-service Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to the Moshtix Client Control Room, allowing users to easily enable additional login security using an Authenticator app. This empowers admins to take control of their account protection, reducing the risk of unauthorised access and safeguarding sensitive business data with confidence.
What (does it do):
Self-service Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) allows admin users to add an extra layer of security to their login by linking their account to an Authenticator app. Once enabled, users must enter a unique time-based code from their authenticator app each time they log in, helping prevent unauthorised access and keeping sensitive business data safe.
Why (use it):
MFA helps protect your account from unauthorised access, even if your password is compromised. By requiring a unique code from an authenticator app at login, it adds a powerful layer of security that keeps your sensitive event data, financial information, and client details safe. It’s a simple way to take control of your account protection and reduce the risk of being targeted by scammers.
How to set up MFA:
- Log in to the Moshtix Client Control Room using your username and password.
- Click your Username in the side menu and select "Manage Profile"
- Click the Settings tab and then the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) section.
- Click “Enable MFA”.
- A QR code will be displayed.
- To use your device’s default authenticator app, scan the QR code with your phone’s camera. To use a different authenticator app, open the app first and scan the QR code from within it.
- Scan the QR code to link your Moshtix account.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to confirm setup.
- MFA is now active. On your next login, you’ll be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app after your password.
