Moshtix's Zapier Webhooks pixel allows you to connect to Zapier, an automation tool that lets you connect your data to thousands of other services using prebuilt connectors, without the need for assistance from developers. You can learn more about Zapier here. The common uses for events are connecting to email platforms like Mailchimp or customer relationship management tools like Salesforce or Hubspot. Zapier also supports connections with most ad platforms and conversion APIs.
What (does it do):
Self service pixel to connect purchase data to Zapier
Why (use it):
It can be used to push purchase data to any of the connectors that Zapier supports - so many more than the pixels/services that Moshtix supports directly. At the moment, it only sends ticket purchases because it's the only point where we can guarantee that the purchaser has consented to their data being shared.
Who (best events/time to use it):
It's best used where you need to connect something that Moshtix doesn't support to a your platforms, or where the you don't have the developer resources to build on our API.
How (to use):
In Zapier, you’ll need a Pro account to use webhooks.
First, you’ll need to get a Zapier Webhook URL from Zapier.
1. To get a Zapier Webhook URL, start a new Zap in Zapier and choose Webhooks as a trigger.
2. Choose “Catch Hook” as a Trigger event
3. Click on “Test” and then copy your webhook URL.
4. In Moshtix Control Room, go to Tracking in the side menu
5. Scroll down to Zapier Webhook
6. Search for your event (or apply to all events) and paste the Webhook URL into the ZapierWebhookURL field
7. Press “Save”
When a new purchase is made to your event, the purchase data will be passed to the webhook. In Zapier, you can then pass this data onto any other connector that they support (e.g. Mailchimp, Hubspot, Salesforce).
