What (does it do):
Collector Tickets now support a new "Sell as Collectable Only (No Event Entry)" configuration mode. When enabled, the ticket type functions as a purchasable keepsake or momento — it does not grant entry to the event and does not generate a barcode. This is separate from the existing Collector Ticket (with entry) behaviour, which remains unchanged.
This gives you more flexibility to offer printed keepsakes, limited edition collectables, or post-event momentos without needing to tie them to an entry ticket type.
Why (use it):
- Increases Collector Ticket adoption by reducing fan confusion between entry and collectable options
- Reduces FX contacts from fans wanting to downgrade from a Collector Ticket to a Standard ticket
- Allows post-event dispatch
- Enables you to sell collectables independently — no need to bundle with entry tickets
Who (best events/time to use it):
Clients who want to offer limited edition printed collectables for any event. Particularly well-suited to high-demand, iconic events where a keepsake holds value.
3 key highlights
- Collectable-only mode: Sell a Collector Ticket purely as a keepsake — no event entry, no barcode, no scanning. Perfect for limited edition momentos and post-event dispatch.
- Clear fan experience: Collectable-only tickets display with a distinct UI — purple "Grab a Collectable" CTA, a dedicated "What is a Collectable?" info modal, and no toggle — so fans always know what they're purchasing.
- Individual refunds: Collectable-only tickets can be refunded independently without affecting the fan's entry tickets on the same order.
Limitations:
- Collectable-only tickets do not generate a digital ticket or barcode for the fan
- Collectable-only tickets are excluded from scanning integrations
- Attendance calculations exclude collectable-only ticket types
- SMS delivery does not apply to collectable-only tickets (no barcode / ticket link generated)
