What (does it do):
Ticket Assign is the effortless way to distribute tickets to friends directly within the Moshtix platform — fast, secure, and entirely in one place.
Why (use it):
Every attendee gets their own verified ticket — no email forwards, no screenshots, no uncertainty at the door. For group ticket purchasers, that means seamless ticket sharing without leaving the platform. For event organisers, Ticket Assign makes event access easier and more secure for everyone.
Key highlights
- Seamless Ticket Sharing: Easily share tickets between fans ensuring every fan has their own verified ticket
- Easy Ticket Management: Fans can manage assigned tickets at any time within the Moshtix platform
- Full Ticket Control: Purchasers can revoke an assigned ticket at any time — returning it to their account, notifying the assignee instantly, and invalidating their barcode.
Each time a ticket is assigned or revoked, the barcode is cancelled, and a new one is issued. This ensures that any previously held barcodes are no longer valid for entry
Requirements & Limitations
- When a ticket is assigned, the Purchaser retains legal ownership of the ticket. The Recipient receives a personal, revocable right to use the ticket for event entry only. The Purchaser may revoke the Recipient's access at any time before the ticket is scanned for entry. If an event is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled, only the Purchaser is entitled to any applicable refund or remedy.
How to use
How to assign a ticket:
When this link has been successfully shared and accepted by the other attendee, your My Tickets page will update and the assigned ticket will display with the assignee's email address. A new barcode is generated for the assignee — your view of the ticket will display a suppressed image in place of the barcode. Note: When assigning a ticket, you will be presented with Terms & Conditions outlining ticket access rights and ownership. The assignee will also be shown terms before accepting. Please read these carefully so both parties understand their rights and responsibilities.

How to revoke an assigned ticket:
Once confirmed, your name will appear on the ticket again and it will be available to be assigned to another attendee. FAQ's
Q: Why can I still see the ticket in My Account if I've assigned it to someone else?
The ticket will remain in your Account as you are still the owner of the ticket. If you'd like to sell the ticket to another fan, please use Private Resale.
Q: Why don't I own this ticket if I've bought it from another fan and it's been assigned to me?
Ticket Assign provides you with access to enter the event only — it does not transfer ownership of the ticket. The original Purchaser remains the legal owner. If you would like to purchase and own the ticket outright, ask the original purchaser to use Private Resale instead.
Q: How can I view my ticket after it has been assigned to me?
Once you've accepted the assigned ticket, the ticket will appear on the screen for you to use. You'll also receive an Event Reminder email to help you prepare for the event.
Q: How do I assign a ticket to another person if it is currently assigned to someone else?
If the ticket is currently assigned to another person, first you will need to revoke the ticket, then you will have the option to Assign this ticket again.
Q: Why can't I see my ticket in My Account?
The reason that you're unable to see the ticket within your Account is because the person who assigned the ticket to you is still the owner of the ticket and it will continue to remain in their account instead.
Q: I received an Invalid Link error when accepting a ticket?
This means that the ticket that was waiting to be assigned to you may no longer be available. Contact the ticket owner for more information if you believe this to be an error.
Q: Why can't I see my barcode after I've assigned my ticket?
Once you assign a ticket, the barcode is hidden from your view and a suppressed image is displayed in its place. This prevents accidental double-scanning at the event. Your assignee holds the active barcode and will use it for entry. To regain access to the barcode, revoke the ticket — a new barcode will be issued to you automatically.
