The following tips incorporate best practices for scanning devices and can resolve common issues.
- Power scanners OFF, wait 5 seconds and then place into the charging cradle of plug into the charger to extend/increase battery life.
- Do not allow a battery to reach 0% before charging. Charge the devices at room temperature.
- Scanners stored more than 1 week without use should be charged between 35 - 50% of capacity, and the battery should be removed from the scanner.
- Prevent over charging by removing or unseating all fully charged scanners from their charging cradles or adapters.
- Store batteries in a dry, cool environment. Handle batteries with care.
Important note: Batteries used beyond 300 charge/discharge cycles may not hold a charge as well as a newer battery. Extended usage may lead to impaired performance but will not affect the safety of the scanner.
