Walk up Mode: How To

Setup

Event Build
- Set the Event Start time on your event so Walk Up Mode can activate from 1 hour before.
- Complete the rest of the event details as normal.

Ticket Types
- Create your presale tickets as normal
- You can use the On Sale dates and time to close pre-sale tickets 1 hour before the event.
- You can also manually hide ticket types using “hide from event” before the event starts.
- If you’d like, create a specific Door Sales ticket, setting it to be available from 1 hour before the event start time.
- Configure specific prices and fees for this ticket as required.

QR Codes: How to Generate

To drive patrons to purchase their tickets via Walk up Mode, you can utilise the QR code tool included in Control Room to generate and download a QR code for your event.

This can be added to our template or added to your own marketing collateral and placed around the venue.

It's recommended to place these away from the scanning entry point and along the queue so patrons can grab their tickets and have them ready to scan at entry.

Requirements & Best Practice

- To access Walk up Mode, it only needs to be enabled on the Client Account by a Moshtix admin. Most client accounts will have this enabled by default. If you can not see the functionality in your account, reach out to your client account manager or clientsupport@moshtix.com

- When enabled it automatically applies to all events within your client account.

- Automatically enabled from 1 hour before the event start time and carries through till the event end time.

- To use Apple Pay or Google Pay, customers must have this set-up on their devices.

- To support a higher uptake of purchases online, QR codes and Call To Action documentation should be placed around the queue area before the scanning entry point.
