- This Complimentary Tickets tool allows users to issue any ticket type on their event as a complimentary ticket, no more duplicating ticket types to create Complimentary Tickets
- Complimentary Tickets are now also supported in Digital Ticket form, reducing the footprint of PDF tickets and meaning Complimentary Tickets can be added to digital wallets for easy scanning on the day.
To issue Single Complimentary Tickets
In your Moshtix Control Room:
- Navigate to "Complimentary Tickets" from the menu
- Select your event using the Event search dropdown.
- Enter the Recipients details into the form.
- To Add an On Ticket Message or a custom email message, Click "+ Recipient and on ticket message"
- Enter the quantity of tickets to issue.

- An error will appear if there is not enough allocation left to issue. Go back to the event and adjust the allocation before issuing tickets.

- Click Send
- Your order will be processed and a pop-up will appear to confirm that the order is being prepared.
- Click Done to close.

Q: How do I go back to the old tool?

Q: Can I only issue tickets to 1 recipient with this new tool?
For this first introduction of our improved Complimentary Ticket tool, we've provided support for only single recipients. However, Bulk imports will be coming soon! To Issue BULK Complimentary Tickets, click the banner at the top of the page:
Q: How will my recipient receive my tickets?
Once the order is created, the recipient will receive a Booking Confirmation email with the tickets included:
- If the event is set to send digital tickets only, a link to view tickets will be sent in the body of the email.
- If the order is less than 10 tickets, and the event is set to send PDF's. Each ticket will be attached as a PDF.
- If the order is more than 10 tickets, and the event is set to send PDF's. A link to download a .ZIP file will be in the email body.
- All emails will have a "view my tickets" button to view and access the digital tickets.
Q: How do I create tickets to issue as comps?
All tickets created in an Event Build are eligible to be issued as Complimentary Tickets. Tickets issued as Complimentary are taken from that ticket type's total allocation.
If you want to manage ticket allocations separately, you can still create specific ticket types and issue those through the tool. See How to Create Complimentary Ticket Types.
Q: How do I search for and manage Comp tickets?
You can still search for and manage complimentary tickets, including resending, cancelling and downloading barcodes from Comp Tickets - Search in the navigation.
